Easily the most mind-breaking domain I have encountered in the last few months. I am going to be honest, I didn’t really “respect” this domain all that much until I dipped my toes into Jungian psychology on the suggestion of a friend. Making sense of your brain is making sense of the world, and behavioral studies, along with psychology provide some excellent tools to do just that.
In this note my sole aim would be to list the coolest psychology related articles/resources I can find.
- Cognitive biases index or Wikipedia’s list of cognitive biases - being aware of my biases should be a goal I should actively work towards. It would not only make me a more grounded speaker, but would also help me identify flaws within my own arguments -it’s just a good exercise to indulge in.
- Animal learning notes from Brene Brown’s book- this one’s all about shame and guilt. To me the most groundbreaking argument here was the distinction between sympathy and empathy. I might want to re-read this a couple more times.
