After seeing an image of a beautifully rendered Hofstadter butterfly on Ewan’s garden and some other shader renders on shadertoy I experienced a renewed interest in this. I think the first step to get there would be cellular automatons, another thing that has interested me for a while. But I’ve never actually sat down and implemented Conway’s game of life in python - it’s been on my bucket list for a long time now! It would be so cool. I think I should definitely get into graphics at one point, because they are an amazing expression of programming. I have scouted a resource from very surface level search: book of shaders. Might this be another thing that piqued my interest for a while and then died down? I sure as hell hope not. In this moment of excitement I also think that I could create my own pixel art/later shader art and use that as my bio picture on websites. That would be amazing! I think I can use matplotlib for some of this too, as this is just mathematical art at the end of the day, right?
